Gardener

$8.00

We named this design Gardener because the idea came while gardening: bringing out the seed and watching plants and flowers grow. The sweater is worked bottom up, starting with a seed stitch section, followed by a shoulder yoke pattern representing flowers and growing plants (cables and eyelet stripes). The sleeves are worked top down. Positive ease of 15-20 cm / 6-8". We chose a turtleneck, but you can add a shorter collar. If you don't like seed stitch, alternate one knit round and one purl round. Suggested yarn: Hayworth Tweed (Sirdar) or Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool, or any DK yarn with good stitch definition. Gauge: 19 sts and 38 rows = 4" in seed stitch. Needle: US 6 / 4.0 mm. Sizes (bust, body): 91-97 cm / 36-38", 101-107 cm / 40-42", 111-117 cm / 44-46". Yardage: 1419 (1584, 1782) m / 1552 (1733, 1949) yds. You will get a PDF (2MB) file.
