Woven Coziness

$4.00

A triangular shawl starting at one peak, with increases on one side only. Knitting it is a quiet and mindful process, with sections in a lacy slip stitch pattern that give structure. Work it in one color, use 2 colors for the main stitch pattern, or play with colors in different sections. Gauge and yarn weight are not critical, but use matching weights throughout (fingering to DK recommended). Swatching first will save you time. The shawl can be worked to any size, depending on your yardage. Prototype yarns: MC light DK, 479 yds (438 m), West Yorkshire Spinners Elements, 4 skeins; CC fingering, 350 yds (320 m), Wolloholiker Special Effects, 1 skein. Gauge of prototype: 21 sts and 28 rows = 4" in linen stitch. Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm), US 8 (5.0 mm). Size: one size, prototype 186 x 130 x 126 cm / 73.25 x 51 x 49.5". You will get a PDF (1MB) file.
