Moods of the Sea

It's always ourselves we find in the sea. Stormy or calm, waves stroking the beach: we wanted to capture it with this shawl design. The construction looks uncommon but is clean and easy to knit. The shawl is made of 3 sections: two rectangular scarves surround a center square, each representing a facet of the sea. Yarn weight: fingering. Three colors: MC, CC1, CC2. Gauge: 25 sts and 30 rows = 4" in stockinette. Needles: US 2.5 (3.0 mm), US 6 (4.0 mm). Size: one size. Yardage: 2274 - 2961 yds (2079 - 2708 m).
